Refund and Returns Policy

At MedHut, we are committed to providing safe, effective and high-quality medicines and healthcare products. Please read our refund and returns policy carefully, as medicines are subject to specific regulations.

Prescription Medicines (POM)

  • By law, once prescription medicines have been dispensed and left our premises, they cannot be returned, reused, or refunded.
  • This includes medicines dispensed on both NHS and private prescriptions.
  • If you believe you have received the wrong medication, or your order arrives damaged, please contact us immediately at 01904 232271 or info@medhut.co.uk. We may ask for supporting details or a photo to help resolve the issue.

Over-the-Counter Medicines & Healthcare Products

  • Non-prescription items (e.g. skincare, vitamins, medical devices, health products) may be returned. If you would like to return an item, please notify us within 14 days of your order being delivered. You then have a further 14 days to return the item back to us. This gives you up to 28 days in total to return an item.
  • To qualify for a refund, items must be:
    • Unopened
    • In their original packaging
    • In a resalable condition
  • Some items (e.g. intimate products, personal care, medical devices once opened) cannot be returned for hygiene or safety reasons.
  • Electrical items must be returned with all accessories and leads.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the goods are not returned in a saleable condition or are damaged. All returns will be assessed prior to processing. Unfortunately, we can't exchange items.

  • Please note, this does not affect your statutory rights.

How to Return an Item

  • Please contact our customer care team at 01904 232271 or info@medhut.co.uk before sending any items back. We will confirm the return address and instructions.
  • Items returned without prior authorisation may not be processed.
  • You will be responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item was sent in error, is faulty, or damaged.
  • Once our customer care team has been contacted, please arrange to post the item to:

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • Please notify us within 3 days of delivery.
  • We may request evidence (e.g. photo of the damaged or incorrect product).
  • If approved, we will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost.

Refund Process

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email.
  • Refunds will be issued using your original payment method within 14 days of receipt of the returned item or acceptance of cancellation. In some instances this could take up to 30 days.

Cancellations

  • Orders for prescription medicines cannot be cancelled once a prescription has been reviewed and approved by our clinical team.
  • Orders for non-prescription items may be cancelled prior to dispatch. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.
